I am wanting to buy a Windows 10 Phone but I rely too much on Google Hangouts to swap to an OS without it. Both iOS and Android have a version, should I be expecting some news from Google about this?

At this time there are no plans or statements about any kind of Windows Phone app for Hangouts.
By all means, you can leave some feedback via the app to let them know you would like it!
